    Three letters;

    lol
  • Rebel · 3 weeks ago
I feel like the Americans (as the Rebellion) should have green lightsabers while the British (the Empire) should have red. Just saying.
  • King · 3 weeks ago
Agreed. I wonder if the creator of this piece is English.
  • Sir · 3 weeks ago
I'm English and I think it should be Americans with green and British with red.
Anyone with the most basic understanding of the War of Independence and the Lucas universe would agree.
This mistake has more to do with the creator being a culturally and historically ignorant clot.

ur a douche bag, go to hell...
  • Mathue Shell · 3 weeks ago
Well, the redcoats with red lightsabers would be a bit of fashion fopa.
  • Name · 3 weeks ago
    Not a fashion faux pas?
  • Mathue Shell · 3 weeks ago
Sure, whatever. I guess that weird spelling is acceptable...
  • Mako Aluveaux · 3 weeks ago
    You sir, are an idiot.

    BTW, your spelling was weird.

The origin of the phrase is french, it means "False step"

    Hence "Faux pas"
  • kishi · 3 weeks ago
Well, given the acrimonious relationship between England and France at the time, of course the British wouldn't use the French spelling. That'd just be goesh.
  • freelop · 3 weeks ago
The relationship at the time? Nothing has changed with it to this day.
  • kishi · 3 weeks ago
    There's less shooting now.
  • d1g · 3 weeks ago
    Not gauche?
    =P
  • kishi · 3 weeks ago
Sir, if you insist on following such a course, I must bid you ado!
  • Emerix · 3 weeks ago
If you're going to get that pernickety, red lightsabers aren't explicitly for the Sith, Adi Gallia has a red one in episode one, and she's a Jedi master on the Jedi council.
  • Mathue Shell · 3 weeks ago
yeah! I had a red lightsaber in KOTOR, and I was a Jedi! Real life too.
  • Ghost1227 · 3 weeks ago
Stop lying to yourself. You're a future Sith lord.
  • georgiepeorgie · 3 days ago
a red lightsaber simply means the pursuit of the path of personal power, not sith saber.
  • austinsaxman · 3 weeks ago
Well, the uniform colors were red for the British, green for the loyalists, and blue for rebels, so if you wanted to follow the historic colors that would be the way to go.
  • balthazarr · 3 weeks ago
yea, looks we gotta Benedict Arnold on our hands. Creative though.
  • ARB · 3 weeks ago
    hells yes.
  • Youguysarelosers · 3 weeks ago
    NERDS!
  • Sodom · 3 weeks ago
    Pansy.
  • Sodom · 3 weeks ago
I LOL'ed. But yeah, the English should totally have red sabers, and the Continental Army, green.
  • maybe? · 3 weeks ago
Could it not be that this painting isn't Britain vs. America but Britain Vs. France? that would make more sense to me with regards to lightsabre colours. Then again i'm not familiar with this painting so idk
  • Sodom · 3 weeks ago
Yeah, well see, that would be a plausible assumption, were George Washington not riding on horseback in it.
  • Dj · 3 weeks ago
The American Flag in the background is a wee bit of a problem with it being France
  • Martin · 3 weeks ago
If anything, it seems as though there should simply be more diversity of saber color. I think it's fine as it is, though I admit I think that it could be improved by leaving some of the American sabers red, giving some of them blue sabers, and making a few of the American sabers white.
  • Ben · 3 weeks ago
Okay, I gotta chime in here.

    1. Adi Galia's lightsabre was pink, not red.

    2. According to "Splinter of the minds eye", Red crystals resonate with the darkside of the force, whereas the blue/green spectrum resonates with the light. So while not technically a sith/jedi thing, You just tend to find more of the blue green on "nice" planets, and more red crystals on places like "Korriban" (Sith Homeworld). Yellow crystals are for people like plo kloon who believe in balance, as it's found in both the green AND the red spectrum.

    3. Given the War on Terror, Department of Homeland security, Patriot act, Guantanamo, The colossal failure that was Hurricane Katrina/FEMA, FOX news....Yeah, I'd say that red lightsabres would be appropriate for the American forces, given that we've become the evil Empire. Now all that's (hopefully) changing, but the last 8 years have been a bit...hmm...."dark side" to me.

    MY PEOPLE!!!
  • dug · 3 weeks ago
That would have been an ass kicker!
  • mav5 · 3 weeks ago
I think that the Imperial England should have the red lightsabers, while the rebellious Colonists should have green.
  • mav5 · 3 weeks ago
However, now that I think of it, the Rebels had red lasers in Star Wars while the Empire had green... or am I mistaken?
  • freak-T · 3 weeks ago
horribly mistaken, sir. empire? use green? lol
  • Anon · 3 weeks ago
On the contrary, the Rebel ships' lasers were red and the empires' were green (referring to the Battle of Endor).
  • Mathue Shell · 3 weeks ago
    Battle of Endor you say...

    IT'S A TRAP!!!
